Does It Really Matter in Business

History is always under construction.  We, in the United States have had a very colorful full of travail and full of successes. We have been going forward in the desegregation of schools, the workplace.  Now, that a Black American is in the White House, most feel the striving is completed and that we have achieved the highest level of equality. In my opinion, now more than ever we are faced with racism in it most simple form.

During the 40s and through the 70s there were hard times for minorities in this country. There were always but I witness just the 50s through 60s and from then on. When ever a store or business would hire an African American or a minority, that business was boycotted by the white community. Sometimes that involved beatings, hangings and false accusations of a criminal nature. That was the way a small group of people instilled fear in the community. Most people to avoid controversy and harm, would stay away from that business. And the business was taught a lesson.
The actions this congress has taken have brought all those memories back. It is as if the congress is telling the country: "that is what you get for hiring a black man". I am not African American but remember those times and those times were not moral.

Mr. McConnell's and this congress objective of "making sure President Obama fails" remind us that this had happen before and that apparently we are repeating a history that does not deserve to be repeated.  One thing is to allow someone to fail at his/her job and another one is to facilitate and cause that failure.  So far this congress has manage to sabotage, obstruct and take hostage every effort of this president to help this country achieve.  They have manage to keep the unemployment high and this have hurt millions. They have managed to discourage the business and industry community to obstruct progress by not hiring.  When goods are not produce as the rate they are demanded, the balance of supply and demand is kept unbalanced.  Price go up as supplies do not get produced but get demanded by the public.

What keeps this country afloat is that President Obama is resourceful enough to in place ideas without the cooperation of the congress.  So in spite of the sabotage and the obstruction done our economy is on its way up.  Of course this is why the cooperation of the business and industry community is necessary.  If their cooperation is not there then the government has to take the initiative and be the jobs creators by themselves in order to serve the people.

That is the base of our market, supply and demand.   But people without jobs cannot buy or pay taxes.  That is why the private sector HAS to do it. Our form of government, whether Democrat or Republican, already provides the proper environment for business to prosper.

When the GOP, as per John Sununu;s interview when he said that industry and businesses are afraid because they are not sure whether Obama will win or not because they want the GOP to win, that does not make any sense.  All business officials know that business is a risk.  Some will be successful and some will not and it does not matter who is in the White House.
